A soap box tells the story of the Schocken department store chain and its founder, Salman Schocken. The department stores shaped modern urban life and represent Jewish entrepreneurship. At the same time, the design reflects the new consumer culture of the 1920s and 1930s, turning everyday objects into witnesses of their time.
