Purpose of the Association
The tourism association promotes and coordinates tourism in the association’s area, which is primarily characterized by the regional authorities of Chemnitz, Zwickau, Mittweida and Rochlitz along with their surrounding areas, and by the Rochlitz Muldental, the Chemnitztal and the Zwickau Muldental, as well as by the areas between the aforementioned regions (association’s area). In the field of tourism development, it serves as a platform for the cooperative collaboration of its members and coordinates efforts to leverage the tourism potential within the association’s area for the purpose of joint destination development. It is responsible for marketing the tourism regions combined within the association’s area beyond its borders, while observing the principle of regional balance concerning the individual tourism regions of the association’s area.
