And everywhere – in old factory halls and on new stages, amidst steam locomotive monuments and design markets. In CHEMNITZ. ZWICKAU. REGION., events dance the foxtrot with festivals, readings sneak through locomotive sheds, and cultural highlights find their way into backyards. Sometimes with drums, sometimes with porphyry. Sometimes with cinema, sometimes with piston sounds. So: Get out your calendar, sharpen your senses – there’s a lot to miss.
EURORANDO 2026
From 20 to 27 September 2026, EURORANDO 2026 invites you to the Erzgebirge (Ore Mountains). Europe’s largest hiking festival brings together 30 guided tours every day, individual routes and bus excursions, culture, music and food. The ticket costs 10 euros and includes guided hikes and shuttle buses, among other things.
We are happy to recommend this event by our hiking friends in the Erzgebirge. And if you still have some kilometres left afterwards: CHEMNITZ. ZWICKAU. REGION. also has plenty of great trails between the Mulde river, the Rochlitzer Berg, castles and palaces, and industrial heritage.
