ABBA The Concert
Following a successful European tour, touring Germany once again … More than just a tribute!
One of Europe's most successful ABBA tribute shows is touring Germany once again – reviving the legendary 1979 ABBA concert from London's Wembley Arena on stages across the country with its former glory and fresh vitality. The Italian cult band ABBAMUSIC and the team behind "ABBA – The Concert" offer a live experience where glitter, glamour, and the immortal songs of ABBA are reignited in an unforgettable live show.
Whether on film or in musicals, on TikTok or during the annual Eurovision Song Contest: even after nearly fifty years, ABBA fever remains indestructible and constantly reignites! With unforgettable hits like "Waterloo", "Dancing Queen", "Mamma Mia", or "Super Trouper", the legendary Swedish quartet wrote music history that lives on to this day. Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad shaped timeless hits that multiple generations, from young to old, can still sing along to word for word.
"ABBA – The Concert" brings back this generation-connecting feeling: dazzling original outfits, iconic platform shoes, authentic choreography, and a stage presence that captivates audiences from the very first beats. Angela Castellani, Ludovico Banali, Eduardo Mezzogori, and Irene Pertile embody Agnetha, Björn, Benny, and Anni-Frid in a true fireworks display of hits spanning roughly a decade of music history. Every song is performed live, supported by elaborate and authentic lighting and video design, using the original 1979 London arrangements.
"ABBA – The Concert" is more than just a tribute show – it is a journey through time right to the heart of the legendary 1979 Wembley concert. The live show brings back not only the hits, but also this unique concert experience where the authentic feel of a real ABBA performance comes alive once again. A magic just like the quartet once radiated, delivered with unmatched perfection and passion.
Angela Castellani embodies Agnetha on stage. Offstage, the conservatory graduate, who earned top honours ("cum laude"), is valued and in demand worldwide as a singer, songwriter, and vocal coach. Irene Pertile, playing Frida, has collaborated with Angela for over ten years. She has also enjoyed ongoing success as a studio singer and in various Italian musical theatres. Ludovico Banali delivers a compelling performance as Björn on guitar. Playing guitar since the age of eleven, he perfected his skills at the Mantua Conservatory. Piano and keyboards resonate under the skilful hands and tireless smile of Eduardo Mezzogori, alias Benny. The quartet is supported by professional backing vocalists, as well as Stefano Zanon on drums and Giovanni Antonio Scarabel on bass.
Celebrated by the press and adored by fans, "ABBA – The Concert" has created an electrifying atmosphere across Europe for years, inviting audiences to sing along, dance, and celebrate. The show is a tribute to the legendary band and to the era when ABBA conquered the world – leaving spectators of all ages with bright smiles and lifelong memories.
