Anime Fan & Cosplay Meetup
At an anime fan & cosplay meetup, you can connect with other fans of anime, manga, cosplay, Japanese culture, and gaming. You can chat and take part in activities like workshops, quizzes, or cosplay competitions.
The term "anime" is a short form of the English word "animation". In Japan, the term "anime (ア ニ メ)" is used for any kind of animation, regardless of its origin.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
– Creative writing (storyboarding, developing characters and stories that, for example, challenge gender stereotypes in text and imagery, developing artistic craft techniques) | – Art projects and drawing evenings (covering art history, art criticism, murals, installations, performance) | – Media projects (media art, media law, media psychology) | – Prevention projects (covering violence, drugs, self-assertion courses for boys and girls, theater plays) | – Discrimination mechanisms (e.g. music) | – Reflection on personal experiences
Drop by to have fun, make friends, and talk about your favorite anime/manga artists, shows, and games. Share your own art and stories.
We look forward to seeing you!
We are always looking for helping hands. So if you would like to support us at our events (e.g. ShiroCo – Anime and Manga Convention) or feel your talents lie elsewhere, such as drawing, feel free to reach out to us. We are always open to new ideas, of course.
Organizer: Alter Gasometer e.V. in coop. with JACKT
