Anna Mateur, born in Dresden in 1977, studied music, although she would have preferred applying for graphic arts or acting. She combines all things artistic in her shows. Since 2003, she has been touring the German-speaking world as a singer, lyricist, actress, and illustrator with her ensemble "Anna Mateur and the Beuys". She has received numerous awards, including the German Cabaret Prize (Deutscher Kleinkunstpreis) in 2008, the Salzburger Stier in 2009, the Bavarian Cabaret Prize in 2010, and the German Cabaret Award (Deutscher Kabarettpreis) in 2018.
