Magic Gregorian Night - Sound of the Monks

Eight exceptional Bulgarian singers with extraordinarily powerful and vocal passion whisk audiences away into the cosmos of Christian medieval liturgical chants and the impressively mystical atmosphere of this era! Gregorian chants have fascinated people for centuries with their meditative and timeless intensity. Under the accomplished direction of renowned opera singer Georgi Pandurov, the vocalists of MAGIC GREGORIAN NIGHT, dressed in traditional monk's habits, embody this profound musical experience with their great virtuosity. Firmly rooted in the tradition of Orthodox church music and medieval Gregorian chant, the Magic Gregorian Voices ensemble spans an arc from sacred songs of the Renaissance and Baroque eras to pop music classics such as "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen, "The Sound of Silence" by Simon & Garfunkel, and "Amazing Grace" by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
This is how fascinating Gregorian chant can sound today! Our vocal soloists captivate with mighty and energy-packed voices. Poignant choral settings and wonderful melodies blend with flawless a cappella vocal artistry. The Middle Ages and the present day meet to create a unique concert experience! A class of its own!
