Musical: Jekyll & Hyde

The physician Henry Jekyll is on the verge of marrying his beloved Lisa Carew. Yet his own dark self stands in his way. Edward Hyde—born from Jekyll's self-experimentation as his alter ego—was meant to prove that evil can be separated from good. And Jekyll is proven right: evil can indeed be separated. It just cannot be commanded. Freed from every moral restraint, Hyde rampages through London's foggy alleys—a creature without conscience or moderation. Soon, Jekyll is not only fighting for his own life, but also for the chance to stand before the altar once more as the man Lisa originally fell in love with. The evening shifts musically between powerful rock anthems and emotional ballads such as "This Is the Moment" and "Once Upon a Dream"—Frank Wildhorn's music, already familiar to audiences in Plauen and Zwickau from "Artus – Excalibur" and "The Count of Monte Cristo." More than 1,500 performances on Broadway and productions on numerous German-language stages have made "Jekyll & Hyde" one of the most frequently performed musicals of our time.
