Poetry Slam with German Sign Language Interpretation
Are you ready for an evening filled with stories, emotions, and creative wordcraft? At the Poetry Slam, talented slam poets compete against one another and perform their original texts – sometimes humorous, sometimes thoughtful, but always honest and expressive.
Inclusive highlight: The event will be interpreted into German Sign Language (DGS), so that everyone can truly experience the spoken word up close.

How a Poetry Slam works: At a poetry slam, poets, stage writers, and wild wordsmiths face off in a duel of words. With spoken word and wit, they perform their original works. Then it's the audience's turn to rate the performances with thunderous applause.
Rules of participation: 1. The text must be self-written! Quotes must be clearly identified! Whether poetry, prose, stand-up, or rap – any form of text is welcome. 2. There is a time limit! The performance should last between 5 and 10 minutes. 3. Props! It's all about you and the text (regardless of whether the object relates to the piece). A cheat sheet, if necessary, is allowed. 4. No costumes! Please do not wear costumes so that the texts are not distorted. On stage, you look just like you always do. 5. No singing! Regardless of whether someone can sing well or poorly. A sung section before a slam performance is allowed upon prior agreement, but not during the slam itself.
