Reading: Nenn' es Liebe - Stefan Jürgens
The event was originally scheduled for 09.10.2026 and has been postponed to 28.11.2026 due to production-related reasons. Tickets already purchased remain valid or can be returned to where they were purchased.
As Harras in Zuckmayer's "The Devil's General", he thrilled theater audiences last year, and as a singer-songwriter he recently captivated crowds in many concert halls; as Carl Ribarski in "SOKO Donau" (SOKO Wien), an audience of millions loves him. Now we can experience the Nestroy Prize winner in a major evening of poetry. In his first published poetry collection "Loveletters – mutwillige Liebesergüsse", Stefan Jürgens reveals himself as a hopeful romantic who uninhibitedly confronts the trench warfare of the sexes with the wonder of love. Here, love is celebrated and elevated to the ultimate formula for happiness. A breath of fresh air in dark times and a nightlight of hope.
In his reading performance "Nennˋ es Liebe", he now brings all manifestations of love to life before our eyes. We feel its healing power just as much as its destructive fury. We revel in its abandon and witness its willingness to make sacrifices. Great poets of world literature show us the many faces of love, as diverse as they could possibly be. And yet they all testify to one common truth: love is non-negotiable. And cannot be confined by rules. It survives under the harshest conditions and yields to no coercion. It defines who we are. It is all that matters.
Stefan Jürgens (born February 26, 1963 in Unna) completed a three-and-a-half-year acting course at the Westfälische Schauspielschule in Bochum from 1983 to '86. This was followed by engagements at the Schauspielhaus Bochum, Theater Dortmund, Theater des Westens in Berlin, Bremer Theater am Goetheplatz, and Schauspiel Köln, among others, until he achieved nationwide fame in 1993 with the legendary comedy show "RTL Samstag Nacht". The television show was broadcast from 1993 to 1998 and is still considered the most successful German comedy show to date. Afterwards, he portrayed Berlin Tatort inspector Robert Hellmann in six episodes and participated in numerous national and international TV and cinema productions, before starring as Carl Ribarski in the German-Austrian production "SOKO Donau / SOKO Wien" from 2007 to 2021. In addition to acting, Stefan Jürgens also pursues a career as a singer-songwriter and musician. Since 2002, he has released six studio albums so far. With his latest album "so viele farben" (2022), he is currently on tour in Germany and Austria. For his achievements, the actor and musician has received renowned awards, including the Bavarian Television Award, the Bambi, the Golden Lion, and the Austrian Romy. In 2022, he received the Austrian Nestroy Theatre Award for his portrayal of General Harras in Carl Zuckmayer's "The Devil's General".
