Special Exhibition: "Ivonne Dippmann – Textile Origins: From Karl-Marx-Stadt to Tel Aviv and Back"
Shaped by her roots in a textile family and her years in Tel Aviv, she blends textile traditions and cultural experiences from different places into an independent artistic language. From fragments, industrial materials, and traditional textile techniques, Dippmann develops works into which memories, manual gestures, and cultural knowledge are inscribed. Her works interweave personal and collective history, expanding the medium of textiles beyond its traditional boundaries. The exhibition conceives of origin as an open, fluid process and offers a contemporary perspective on homeland, material, and memory – shaped by cultural movement, exchange, and connection.
