Stoppok – RUND-Reise – the Band Tour 2026

STOPPOK is celebrating his birthday and touring the stages across the country. Travel broadens the mind. This “ROUND Trip” (“RUND-Reise”) even more so. STOPPOK, the witty seismograph of our country, is celebrating a milestone birthday in 2026: turning 70. That's just too good not to celebrate. On a “ROUND Trip” through the republic, on live stages across the country—which have always been STOPPOK's natural habitat and emotional territory. Time to embark on these celebration tours, full of rough edges, heart and brains, a new album, and old friends. The lyricist, singer, and guitar icon is clearly in the best of birthday spirits. For 50 years now, STOPPOK has been the role model of an entire guild, performing as a one-of-a-kind entertainer from the fresh department of vital songwriting artistry, as an independent spirit standing on “solid ground” (“festem Grund”) who decided early on between “your money or your life” (“Geld oder Leben”), and as an outstanding lyricist full of wit, wisdom, and punchy poetry. The weathervane of shifting values shines as a true original. There is certainly no sign of waning energy or ideas. Case in point: his last two albums, “Jubel” and “Teufelsküche”, both reached the Top 5 of the Media Control Charts. Highly esteemed by renowned peers, STOPPOK is a singer and musician who pairs a sharp tongue with stupendous craftsmanship (he commands his stringed instruments masterfully with a deeply personal touch). Fed by folk, blues, and rock ’n’ roll, the STOPPOK sound generates energy and stubborn individuality. Carrying this vision of grooving emotional outbursts is his seamlessly attuned band: Reggie Worthy on bass, Leo Lazar on drums, and Sebel on keys and guitar will join him as fellow passengers on the “ROUND Trip” (October 21, 2026 to November 15). Matching a new song from the album releasing with the tour: “The longer we walk together, the better we will understand each other” (“Je länger wir zusammen geh’n, umso besser werden wir uns versteh’n”).
