"The History of the Tafelstube"
It explores the life and work of Hans Carl von Carlowitz, the chief mining administrator (Oberberghauptmann) born here in 1645, and the concept of sustainability he coined. The second section of the new presentation introduces the historical Tafelstube (dining hall) as the most important room of the castle. Through numerous historical illustrations, objects, and multimedia presentations, visitors gain fascinating insights into the architectural and art history of the room, as well as into hunting traditions and everyday culture of the 17th and early 18th centuries.
