Your Idea on Stage – Music, Texts. Workshop, Performance

In the Year of Jewish Culture in Saxony, the youth section of Alter Gasometer e.V. is opening the door to something unique: A space where music, poetry, and
authentic encounters collide – raw, honest, and full of energy. WHAT TO EXPECT: This isn't just about performing. This is about
feeling, experimenting, rethinking. You take songs and texts by Jewish and Israeli artists and create your own version.
With your voice, your style, your attitude. Whether fragile, loud, ironic, or profound – anything goes. Everything counts.
STEPPING STONE TO THE STAGE: Before the stage calls, you dive into the creative chaos: Led by Ira Shiran (musician) and Yoed
Sorek (cantor), you will immerse yourself in: Jewish music and text culture, creative experiments with language & sound, collaborative writing, singing,
and experimenting. And then the decisive moment arrives: Whatever you create, you bring to the stage that very same evening. Workshop facilitators:
Marc Bobzin | Poetry slammer & musician (reigning Saxon Slam Champion, finalist in the German-language Championship 2025) and
Cantor Yoed Sorek - Musical acts: Ira Shiran and Cantor Yoed Sorek
